Pickerel Lake is located on M-37, 9 miles south of Baldwin in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. It is a private lake, 100 acres in size and allows power boats & water skiing, but it is best suited for peaceful enjoyment. There is excellent fishing with all kinds of pan fish, bass and pike. Ducks and Loons make their home on the lake and occasionally eagles are seen.
We are conveniently located – within 5 minutes of Baldwin and the famous Pere Marquette River, great for canoeing & fishing. Also minutes away are miles of public land for hiking and hunting. Lake Michigan at Ludington or Manistee is 45 minutes and Traverse City is 90 minutes.
Our property features over 700 feet of lake frontage and nearly 40 acres of wooded property with trails to explore and watch wildlife. In addition, there is a boat launch, buoyed swimming area, basketball and volleyball court, horseshoes, covered lakefront pavilion with electric, and fish cleaning station.
