Occupancy: Rates are for 2 adults per site, with maximum occupancy of 4 adults. There is a $10.00 per night charge for each additional occupant past 2 adults. Children under 12 are free and must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or guardian. Maximum occupancy with children is 8. One RV per site, or one RV and one tent, or two tents per site are permitted. Any equipment or belongings left unattended for more than 24 hours will be removed and becomes the property of the campground unless prior arrangements are made with management.
Visitor Fee: $5.00 each, payable upon arrival. Visitors must leave the campground by 10 pm or be charged the $10.00 overnight fee. A visitor is anyone who stays in the campground longer than three hours. The registered camper must be present at all times and is responsible for the visitor’s actions.
Check in: After 2 pm on the arrival date.
Check out: 10:00 am on departure date unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Vehicle Use and Speed Limit: SPEED LIMIT IS 5 MPH and there is a ONE-WAY TRAFFIC PATTERN THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY. Vehicles are permitted ONLY on improved campground roads, not back in the woods. Use of any type of ATV, ORV, UTV, golf cart, etc. is NOT permitted unless operator and machine are certified handicapped by the State of Michigan. Only the certified owner of such a vehicle may operate it. Otherwise, such vehicles must remain on the trailer during your stay. Parking is permitted on your site if room allows, or in the designated overflow parking area. Parked vehicles may not extend out into the road or into another site. Parking on a site other than your own or in the roadway is prohibited.
Pets: Pets are not allowed in or anywhere around the cottages or along the waterfront. Any pet on campground property must be penned or kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet, under the control AND IN THE PRESENCE OF THE PET OWNER AT ALL TIMES. Pet owners must clean up after their pet by disposing of droppings into the proper designated receptacles. Potty bags are provided for your convenience. Campers with a pet that is vicious, noisy, or unruly will be asked to remove their pet from the campground.
Quiet time: Quiet time is from 10 pm to 8 am. Campers will refrain from any loud behavior or disturbances during this period. All children must be under the direct supervision of their parent or guardian, or at their campsite. PLEASE RESPECT THE DESIRE OF OTHERS FOR QUIET AT ALL TIMES. This includes controlling your dogs.
Boat Launch: The boat launch is available to campers only for an additional charge of $5.00 per stay, payable upon arrival or when the boat is launched. The launch is open from 8 am to 10 pm unless other arrangements are made in advance. There is a limit of two boats per site. Boats are required to obey the no wake rule from 7:30 pm to 11 am, and to always practice safe boating procedures. There is a goose line at the end of the launch. This is for sanitary purposes. There are clips for easy removal. Please make sure that the line has been moved aside before using the launch and replace it when finished.
Personal Watercraft: All personal watercraft such as Jet Skis, Wave Runners, etc. are banned from Pickerel Lakeside property. If brought in, they must remain on the trailer during your stay.
Beach Usage: There is NO Lifeguard at any time. Campers and guests are swimming at their own risk. The beach is open from 8 am to 10 pm. There is a designated swimming area, marked by buoys, next to the boat launch, below the pavilion. Swimmers are advised to always stay within that area. All children must be under the supervision of their parent or guardian at all times. Anything made of glass is strictly prohibited on the beach. There is a goose line along the shore. This is to keep the geese off the beach and help keep it clean and sanitary for swimmers and children. Please do not remove it. Absolutely NO fishing in or around the swimming area.
Fireworks, Firearms and Weapons: The display and/or use of any type of fireworks, including but not limited to sparklers, cherry bombs, smoke bombs, snap-n-pops, etc., firearms and/or weapons of any kind, is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.
Behavior: Alcohol or drugs used to excess will not be tolerated. Violators will be requested to leave the property. Anyone who willfully or negligently destroys, injures, or defaces the property of Pickerel Lakeside Campground and Cottages or of another camper, visitor, guest, or worker of the facility will be held liable for the full value or replacement cost, whichever is greater. Anyone who violates the rules or disturbs the peace, or becomes unruly or abusive in any way, will be instructed to leave the property by the management and/or police.
Caution: Caution should be used at all times in the campground. We do our best to keep a safe environment for our guests to enjoy. But this is a wilderness area visited by many people and wild animals alike. If you find dangerous items such as glass, barbed wire, fish hooks, etc., please dispose of them safely or contact management. If animals are encountered such as snakes, wasps, hornets, etc., contact management.
Campfires: Do not move fire rings without permission. DO NOT BURN TRASH IN THE FIRE RING. Campers may bring their own firewood, per state regulations. Do not start fires outside of the fire rings. Fires are to be CONTAINED AND CONTROLLED at all times and are to be COMPLETELY OUT prior to retiring for the evening or departing. Campers may gather fallen wood from the woods, but cutting of any vegetation is strictly prohibited on campground property.
Trash: In the campground, please put all trash in or beside the trash cans by the north and south vault toilets. Please do not take your trash to the dumpster yourself. We collect trash from these areas on a regular schedule. In the cottages, please bag your trash and put it in the trash cans outside your door. We will pick it up from there.
Disposal Station: This is the only place on the property where it is permitted to dump black water and grey water tanks. It is located on the back road between the outhouses. No charge to campers. $25.00 charge to non-campers.
Fish Cleaning Station: Located on the back road next to the south outhouse. All fish cleaning should be done at this location. There is running water and light so that it can be used day or night. Keep it clean and dispose of fish parts in the designated disposal can. Fish cleaning is prohibited around the cottages and individual campsites to avoid attracting animals.
Liability: All campers and guests use Pickerel Lakeside Campground and Cottages LLC at their own risk. Owners and managers do not assume any responsibility for property loss or damage or for injuries incurred at Pickerel Lakeside Campground and Cottages. It is highly recommended campers carry their own liability and damage insurance. Any incident is to be reported to management at once.
